Additional Information:
Much has been said and written about the men that built and visited
Yosemite but this book tells of the women and their trials and
tribulations.
It is an interesting read full of history and many early pictures. Some
of the people written about are the first three white women to visit
Yosemite in 1856; Madame Gautier, from Mariposa, Mrs. John Neal, also
from Mariposa and Mrs. Thompson, from Sherlocks, a mining town.
