| Condition: |
In
our opinion, the overall condition of this book is excellent.
The pages of this book are in beautiful condition. The tissue covering
Hitler's picture is present and attached but does have a fold in it as
can be seen in our photo.
The gilt across the top of the pages is in excellent condition.
The front and back boards are excellent however the spine does show
some wear as can be seen in the photos.
The slipcase has done a wonderful job of protecting this book and while
the back, front and spine of the slipcase are still together the two
end caps of the case have separated. This could easily be repaired as
they are still present.
The bottom of the pages are fine and the front of the pages do have
some very mild foxing and a slight stain that does not travel onto the
pages themselves.
There are no rips, tears or writing on any of the pages.

Additional Information:
This
autobiography of Adolf
Hitler sets forth his political philosophy and his plan for German
conquest. Mein Kampf is probably the best written evidence of the
character, mind and spirit of the world's most famous and notorious
dictator. It outlines a doctrine of German racial supremacy and
Hitler's ambitions to annex vast areas of the Soviet Union.
This was required reading as a textbook for the German youth and a copy
was given to each newly married couple.
The German versions of Mein Kampf are extremely hard to find and are
banned from sale in Germany and many other countries so the sale of
this book will be limited to the United States only.
This is the Jubilee Edition, called Jubiläumsausgabe, which
was a
limited edition, was published only in the year 1939 and only in
German. It was considered the "DeLuxe" version over that of the regular
blue Volksausgabe, or publically issued version.
It was published to celebrate Hitler's fiftieth birthday as well as the
printing of the five millionth copy of Mein Kampf. It is extremely rare
with only a few copies found on the Internet many at much higher prices
and not as good of condition.
In addition to the book and slipcase there are two additional pieces
that come with this book. These should probably be sold separately
however, we received them with the book so they will remain with the
book.
There is a card that we are assuming is either an order card to
purchase more copies or a gift card to be given to the recipient. This
card measures 4 1/8" x 5 3/4".
There is also a full page 11 3/4" x 16 1/2" advertisement with a full
color picture on one side and printing in German on the other. We
suppose it is advertising the book. It is in excellent condition except
that it has been folded to fit in the book.
