Additional Information:
This is a relatively rare pattern made by Shelley in the Warwick Shape.
After extensive research we have been unable to find the actual name
for this pattern so we will assume that the D 0441 is the pattern
number as hand painted on the bottom of the cup.
The Warwick Shape is also somewhat elusive to find as well and is very
desirable. It has a fluted cup with a scalloped saucer. The handle we
believe is considered Lobed.
This cup and saucer are made of fine bone china and are in excellent
condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, damage or repairs. The pieces
are translucent the same as porcelain. The design is that of roses on
their stems. The handle, rim of the cup and the edge of the saucer are
all trimmed in a lime green color.
The bottom has the Shelley mark that dates this set between 1940 to
1966. Shelley Potteries was started circa 1925 and is now a part of the
Royal Doulton Tableware LTD. family.
This is a beautiful set and it will arrive at your home clean, ready to
use, display or give as a gift from our non-smoking home.
